Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to reveal their love for Adam Lallana’s part in the scrap between Andy Robertson and Ayoze Perez.

The Leicester forward appeared to retaliate after a little nudge from Robertson following the full-time whistle of an enthralling game – the Reds won 2-1 after a last-gasp penalty from James Milner in stoppage time.

Perez began to push Robertson, before Lallana came barging in to defend his teammate and get right up in the former Newcastle man’s face.

It was a decision from the 34-cap England international that went down well with some Liverpool fans on Twitter, who were pleased to see Lallana step in and back his teammate up when things got scrappy.

One fan said that Lallana was “good for something” after watching him defend Robertson, while another said that they were a “big fan” of him stepping in.
