According to the , the Blues reportedly met the £65million-rated (€75m) player's representatives in recent weeks to discuss the possibility of him moving to the west London club in the summer transfer window.

Shakhtar Donetsk chief executive Sergey Palkin was in attendance at Stamford Bridge on April 16 as Chelsea demolished Everton 6-0. After the match, the official hinted that the youngster could leave the Ukrainian side amid interest from top European clubs including Premier League giants Liverpool, Arsenal and the Blues.

After the match, Palkin told reporters: "This summer window, he has a big chance to move to some big clubs. We have had some contacts with big clubs and some are not negotiating with us directly but are getting a feel for the summer environment. He will definitely move to a top European club this summer. When I was at Chelsea versus Everton, many people asked me about Sudakov."
